Information Security Systems Manager (ISSM)
ARA is seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to join our team in Dayton, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for a portfolio of classified programs. You will support information system full life cycle activities including scoping information systems for new programs, preparing accreditation/certification packages in accordance with relevant regulations and standards, maintenance and monitoring of operational systems, system upgrades and feature additions during program execution, and system decommission and de-certification activities.
The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) shall develop RMF accreditation packages and assist in maintaining Authorization to Operate (ATO) certifications for networked systems and applications used by the organization. The ISSM is responsible for the development of information system documentation and the provision of a designated set of common controls for the authorization package, including the executive summary, system security plan, privacy plan, security control assessment, privacy control assessment, risk assessments, equipment specifications, and any relevant plans of action and milestones.
A successful candidate will have strong written and communication skills to maintain a relationship with our ISSP and other mission partners. ARA is searching for a candidate who takes the initiative and creates decisive paths to complete tasks. This person will need to work well in a team environment with a commitment to ensure security awareness and techniques are communicated effectively across the infrastructure.
As the Information Security Systems Manager (ISSM), the right candidate must:
- Demonstrate Cyber Security experience (evidenced through work experience, college coursework, military, or on-the-job training)
- Familiar with the 32 CFR Part 117, DAAPM, NIST RMF, DoDM 5205.07, and/or JSIG IS requirements.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, be well organized, flexible, and self-motivated.
- Experience investigating security incidents to include data spills, data integrity incidents and malicious code incidents
- Experience with compliance certifications of various operating systems.
- Experience with Windows and Server as well as Linux/Unix-based systems.
Desired Qualifications for the Information Security Systems Manager (ISSM):
- DoD Directive 8570.1 IAM Level II or higher certification (helpful)
Required Education for the Information Security Systems Manager (ISSM):
- Bachelors or better in Computer Science or related field.
Required Experience for the Information Security Systems Manager (ISSM):
- 2-4 years Cyber Security experience
Licenses & Certifications Required r the Information Security Systems Manager (ISSM):
- Secret Clearance
- Comp TIA Security+
Preferred
- Top Secret Clearance
