About the Position
We are looking for a Sales Engineer – Military Sales Development to quote, sell and promote Heatcon Composite Systems products and services to government users and buyers. Provide technical application assistance and quoting for the customer through effective teamwork with Sales to assure excellent customer follow-through and service. Expand and maintain the existing customer account base and identify, contact, and secure new profitable business relationships. Effectively communicate results of sales activities, monthly sales revenue objectives, and profit margins to senior management.
The Sales Engineer – Military Sales Development should have extensive knowledge of aerospace composite materials and support equipment utilized for the maintenance/repair/overhaul of military aircraft, be able to communicate orally and in writing with all branches of the military, military aircraft OEMs, foreign military air forces, and other government aerospace branches, and have an aptitude for electromechanical equipment diagnosis and minor repair.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (A.A. or A.S.) or a Bachelor’s Degree is highly desired.
- 2-5 years of sales and marketing experience within the aerospace industry.
- A working understanding of mechanical and electrical design concepts is required.
- Experience with quality standards such as AS 9100, ISO 9001, or military equivalent standards is required.
- Ability to perform practical demonstration and instruction in both a classroom and a field environment with ability to move and set-up equipment, tools, and machines is necessary. Prolonged standing in presentation position is also necessary. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Travel flexibility is required.
