Construction Project Manager

C1S is seeking a Construction Project Manager to manage commercial and industrial construction projects. We design and manage the construction of buildings for companies who invest heavily in their real estate because their facilities are critical to their success. Requirements:
- Construction Management or Engineering degree required.
- 4+ years of construction experience for commercial and industrial buildings.
- Proven track record of success in project management (safety, quality, financial).
Job Description:
- Serve as the primary source of information on contract scope, schedule, and pricing for your projects.
- Lead the project kickoff effort through effective communication, distribution of information, and coordination of resources.
- Optimize the buy-out process through careful subcontractor selection, negotiation, and risk management.
- Develop the project schedule with efficient planning and sequencing of activities.
Proactively manage client expectations through timely, effective communication and project leadership.
- Manage the Owner contract by communicating changes promptly and pushing for resolution on open items.
- Maintain current project financials in Procore, including the Owner contract, budgets, commitments, and financial projections.
- Schedule and lead effective weekly coordination meetings with the C1S project superintendent to monitor progress, discuss issues, and push open items to closure.
- Schedule and lead effective weekly OAC meetings to communicate progress, discuss issues, and push open items to closure.
- Serve as the primary risk management expert for your projects, protecting the client's interests and C1S.
- Develop and implement the project safety plan per the client's and C1S's safety programs.
- Serve as the Design-Build Project Manager when C1S is performing both scopes. This includes coordination and accountability for both scopes to meet project goals.
- Manage the timely and efficient close-out of projects with a complete and accurate project archive.
- Support bidding and preconstruction activities as needed for new projects.
- Represent C1S Group to clients, subcontractors, and industry partners in a way that enhances
the company's reputation for handling our business professionally, ethically, and responsibly.
Team Development:
- Serve as a mentor to assistant project managers and interns on best practices and the C1S Way.
- Support developing and refining our processes (C1S Way) to ensure consistent, effective project delivery and positive outcomes for our clients.
