Senior Mechanical Engineer

    We are currently in search of a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team.  This position designs, analyzes, and maintains mechanical systems and components. They also lead projects, supervise junior engineers, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

    In order to accomplish the responsibilities of this position the successful candidate must follow our Honor Built Philosophy – Honor is how we approach all facets of our organization, as well as our community and customer partnerships; have pride in what we produce.  You will also have to provide good interpersonal/communication skills with a high level of integrity; Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, knowledge of manufacturing processes and production techniques, proficiency in data analysis and reporting, understanding of quality control methodologies, familiarity with relevant safety regulations, proven ability to use mechanical and electrical hand tools, must be self-directed and able to work on own, must be able to be a participating team member and work collaboratively, proficiency with MS Office, CAD, and knowledge of Solidworks.

    This position will require a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, at least five years of industry experience, project management skills, including organization, time management, and budget planning, excellent communication skills, a Professional Engineer (PE) license (optional but beneficial), Lean Six Sigma Training – Yellow belt minimum (can be obtained after hire).
